Tra le fessure crescono piante. E tutto si colora d’autunno. Ma sono erbacce! E allora?
Sposo la tesi di Patrick Blanc: “Non esistono erbe infestanti, esistono piante che si installano proprio dove dovrebbero, al posto di quelle che la gente sceglie per i propri giardini o coltivazioni e che generalmente non corrispondono alle risorse del sito in questione “ (BLANC, P., Il bello di essere pianta, Bollati Boringhieri, Torino 2008, pag.31).

Il ribes rosso ha fatto i germogli.

Nasturzio e tagete.
I vasetti di plastica degli yogurt sono ottimi per la semina sul balcone.
Occupano poco spazio e il colore bianco riflette i raggi solari, così la terra non si scalda troppo.

Vedere un germoglio nascere, per me è come ascoltare l’Eroica di Beethoven (sinfonia n. 3).
Lo so, è una cosa piccola, quotidiana, eppure mi affascina. È un’impresa eroica, titanica, sublime. È la quintessenza del romanticismo.

Dal seme di zucca fatto essicare la scorsa estate, esce pian piano il germoglio che con la sua costanza e caparbietà solleva la terra, e si distende come se volesse toccare il sole.

È un grido di vita, un inno alla gioia (ancora Beethoven, sinfonia n. 9).

Nel 1807 Beethoven così scriveva all’amica Therese von Malfatti: “[...] come sarò lieto di poter passeggiare tra cespugli, foreste, alberi, erbe, rocce, nessuno sa amare la campagna come me. Le foreste, gli alberi, le rocce danno veramente quella risonanza che l’uomo desidera”.

Il bel libro che avevo letto sulle erbe aromatiche ha lasciato il segno.
Così mi sono comperato tre piantine, tutte da vivaio biologico.
1. erba cipollina, stranamente scomparsa dal mio orto, come se si fosse volatilizzata;
2. origano, perché era da tempo che lo desideravo. Chissà se qui al nord diventa buono come quello che avevo preso in Puglia? Di sicuro, se lo pianto in terra, d’inverno devo pacciamare il terreno e coprirlo per benino, o mi muore congelato;
3. citronella, dall’inconfondibile profumo. Dove la pianto? In vaso o nell’orto? Ci penserò. Intanto mi gusto il suo profumo ogni volta che ci passo accanto. Buonissimo.

The beautiful book that I read the herb has left its mark.
So I bought three plants, all organic nursery.
1st. chives, strangely disappeared from my garden;
2nd. oregano, because it was so long that I wanted. I wonder if here in the north is as good as what I had taken in Puglia? Surely, if it tears into the earth, in winter I have to mulch the soil and cover it;
3rd. citronella, unmistakable aroma. Where the tears? Potted or nell’orto? I will think. Meanwhile, I taste your scent every time I step along. Very good.

Anche lei è uscita dal sue seme, ha bucato la terra e allargato e sue prime foglie, un pò come fa chi si stiracchia dopo un lungo e riposante sonno.

Nota: accanto alla borragine è cresciuta anche la camomilla. Ho sparso – involontariamente – quei suoi semini minuscoli un pò ovunque…

È cresciuta in breve tempo, fitta fitta, tante piantine una vicina all’altra, perché i suoi semi erano piccoli piccoli e non sono riuscito a dividerli e predisporli ordinatamente sulla nuda terra. Alcuni mi sono caduti e hanno invaso la terra della borragine.
E poi sarà ancora più difficile districare le piantine, una volta cresciute, per piantarle nell’orto.

Ho acquistato un po’ in ritardo dei bulbi di Oxalis Adenophylla (“Ossalide rosa” o “Tappeto rosa”). Sono stato abbagliato dall’immagine sulla confezione, e poi erano in offerta. Ma arrivato a casa mi son detto: questi bulbi hanno passato l’inverno in un centro commerciale, non si sono nemmeno accorti dell’inverno, forse pensano sia sempre stato autunno.
Dunque se li pianto non faranno i fiori come da foto su confezione.
Cosa fare in questi casi?
Si prova ad imbrogliare il bulbo, gli si fa credere che sia arrivato l’inverno.
Per qualche giorno i bulbi se ne staranno in frigo…

I bought some behind the bulbs of Oxalis Adenophylla (“Ossalide pink” or “pink carpet”). I was blinded from the image on the pack, and then were on offer. But come home I said to myself: these bulbs have spent the winter in a shopping center, did not even noticed the winter, maybe they think it is always autumn.

What to do in these cases?
You try to cheat the bul, they are to believe that winter has arrived.
For some days the bulbs will stay in the fridge …
