Io mi incanto ad osservare le micidiali foglie della pinguicola, così belle ed eleganti.
Queste sono le foglie nuove, ancora verdi, perché con il sole di luglio si abbronzeranno e diventeranno rossastre.

I was enchanted to observe the leaves of the deadly pinguicola so beautiful and elegant.
These are the new leaves are still green. With the sun of July it will become reddish tan.

Il tulipano olandese, rosso, ma ancora bocciolo, ha una forma che è poesia.
È poesia perché apparentemente inutile: non dà nulla da mangiare.
Ma è anche design, perché “la forma segue la funzione” (Jean-Baptiste Lamarck).

Un momento. Ai fiori non interessa il design.
Siamo noi che copiamo forme e funzioni dalla natura, nel tentativo di superarla.
E ad alcuni manufatti diamo il nome design.
Dunque perché tutto questo discorso? Queste affermazioni e queste smentite?

Diceva Bruno Munari che una delle forme più perfette, l’uovo, è fatta con il culo.
