M’illudevo di fare della zucca un contenitore. Il freddo e l’umidità ne ha deformato gli angoli. E così adesso non si chiude. E lo posso buttare nel composter.
Però ho altre due zucche ornamentali. Lascio che si secchino da sole. E in seguito le taglierò…

Fa il bruco sulla tenera foglia del cavolo. «È prprio buona questa fogliolina» dice rivolto al suo amico bruco, un cavolo più avanti.
«Cavolo!» dico io.
«Dici a me?» dice il cavolo.
«No, dico ai bruchi – rispondo – i cavoli li volevo mangiarli io!»

Ma tutto sommato si tratta solo di due o tre piantine su una ventina che avevo messo a dimora. Lasciamo qualcosa anche ai bruchi.
